Their batting is going to depend mainly on the likes of Martin Guptill, Colin Munro and Kane Williamson who is expected to return after being sidelined for the first game due to injury. Munro top-scored with an unbeaten 49 at Wellington and he will be the key batsman for New Zealand. Trent Boult who was rested for the first T20 has returned and he will be the big threat with the ball. Seth Rance and Mitchell Santner shared five wickets between them last time and could cause problems for Pakistan once again.
Except Babar Azam who scored a gritty 41, none of their top eight batsmen were able to score in double digits in the last game. The team will hope for a much better batting performance next time, and for that to happen, they will also need strong contributions from Fakhar Zaman and Sarfraz Ahmed in the middle order. Rumman Raees bagged a couple of wickets while Mohammad Amir and Shadab Khan bowled tight spells. Pakistan will expect these three to bowl well at Auckland as well.
New Zealand vs Pakistan 2nd T20 Betting Odds
New Zealand were clinical in the ODI series and they have extended their dominance in the shortest format as well. The Kiwis are hot favorites amongst the bookmakers to win the second T20 international at very short odds of 1.38 on Betfair, 1.30 on Bet365, 1.32 on Unibet and 1.33 each on Ladbrokes and Betway. Pakistan on the other hand are big underdogs and are being offered at a huge price of 3.25 on Betway, 3.40 each on Betfair and Unibet and 3.50 each on Bet365 and Ladbrokes.
New Zealand vs Pakistan 2nd T20 Prediction
New Zealand’s T20 record at the Eden Park has not been a great one in recent times as they have won just two of their past six matches. The two teams have faced each other twice at this ground in the 20-overs format with both winning a game each. The last time Pakistan were here, they defeated the hosts by 16 runs and this should give them plenty of hope going into this game. However, their batsmen have not yet been able to adapt to the conditions which is a big worry for the visitors. We thus predict New Zealand to win this match and clinch the series.
Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd T20 PREDICTION
New Zealand won the ODI arrangement 5-0 and have a high assurance in the group to rehash the execution; in spite of the fact that Pakistan has a decent record in the shorter configuration of the amusement, we feel that the hosts will rule once more in the main T20.
