Gloucestershire sign Daniel Worrall as overseas player CricBuzz Live
“It has been a long held aspiration of mine to play County Cricket and I am thankful to Gloucestershire for furnishing me with an opportunity to do that,” Worral said. “I have heard just positive things about the capability of the squad being created at Bristol and anticipate adding to a fruitful 2018. I trust that I will be suited to playing great in English conditions and I can hardly wait to begin.”
The 26-year-old, who is yet to play Test cricket for Australia, made his introduction for the national side in the 50-over organization in 2016 against Ireland and went ahead to play two more matches against South Africa around the same time. In 31 top of the line matches, he has grabbed 115 wickets at a normal of 31.17.
“It’s incredible to have Dan going along with us for the initial segment of the season,” Head Coach Richard Dawson said. “I’ve had some extremely positive input with respect to his knocking down some pins, which should suit English conditions. He bowls a full length with fair pace and has great one-day abilities.
“He will add profundity and experience to our rocking the bowling alley assault for the beginning of the season. We’re all anticipating having him here in Bristol.”
